Description
Health Information Technology/Medical Records prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the health information management department of a health care facility (e.g., hospital, ambulatory care center, and so on). The health information technician is responsible for analyzing, coding and abstracting information in the patient's record. The technician also performs release of information, quality assurance, utilization management, and compliance procedures.
