Description

"Certified Nutritionist (CN)® is far more than a title. It is a precise definition of a person’s knowledge, competence and experience in nutrition sciences. Not all nutritionists are Certified Nutritionists (CN)®. To earn the Certified Nutritionist (CN)® designation, the student must meet rigorous testing standards that include passing a six-hour final comprehensive examination over the six courses, and agree to abide by a strict (CN)® Code of Ethics. "As a Certified Nutritionist, you will be a member of a distinguished profession dedicated to serving the nutritional, lifestyle and wellness needs of individuals and families. Certified Nutritionists work with other professionals and directly with clients to improve nutritional status and overall health by assessing and analyzing needs, developing nutritional plans and educating, advising, counseling, monitoring and providing support."

Enhanced My Professional Career
August 20, 2011
I graduated in 2001 with the CN designation. I completed all testing, midterm and finals through a local college proctor, who admisisterd the tests. The program was completed in less than two years and was created for graduate studies. I had a small child at the time, so the convenience of scheduling my curriculum with my lifestyle was very beneficial. I found the program enhanced my culinary and consulting career, as well as my personal ...

An asset to your credentials
April 23, 2010
The CN program can be used in conjunction with other credentials to broaden a person's scope of practice and bring a level of professionalism to his or her practice. The course work was strenuous, but doable. However, like almost all "book learning", it is not until one practices one's craft, that true learning begins. Thus, the CN program is a worthy endeavor. It brings a level of authenticity to an area that has thus far ...

ASHU was a great school. I was one of the students who was TRANSFERED to HCHS during my final semester at ASHU. I did not receive any problems with the transfer or with ASHU after the transfer. Although ASHU is no longer offering degree programs, they are still very active in helping CN's locate CE hours, and offer classes for CE. HCHS has many great degree programs and is a sister school to ASHU. I ...

Not Worth Your Money or Your Time.
March 6, 2008
I completed this course many years ago, and was fairly satisfied with the coursework. My big complaint is that they changed their CEU requirements so that the only CEUs they accept to keep your license current are thier own classes that are way too expensive for what you get. They are just trying to make more money off their former students. They also do not let you use the CN "Certified" Nutritionist designation if you ...

Avoid at all costs

American Health Science University (AHSU) is no longer accredited. They dumped all of their students off on another university which is probably better (HCHS). AHSU's director does not respond to any inquiries, and he has ignored requests for refunds from students who chose to withdraw from the program rather than transfer schools. The teachers who used to work for AHSU now work for HCHS. They were pretty good and they all commented that the HCHS ...

No frills, high real world utility
September 12, 2006
This program uses a traditional "correspondence school" format, where assignments are literally mailed to the student and exams are completed and returned by mail. This format tends to make the quality of the lessons highly dependent on the quality of the course text books. Unfortunately many book companies these days place more emphasis on color and graphics than they do on content and clarity of presentation. There are no lectures or supplemental materials to help ...

Greetings all
The letters (CN) has been federally trademarked by American Health Science University (AHSU)in 1985 and are exclusive only to those who complete our six course, distance education and credentialing program and pass our National Board Examination.

Others who use the letters (CN) after their names without completing our program and successfully passing our national board examination do so at their peril.

Those who successfully complete the program and the National Board are the "Health Knowledge Providers" of the 21st Century.

I YOU HEARD ABOUT BIOLOGICAL INDIVIDUALITY?
Everybody is different? Basically, different people have different nutrient requirements for their body to produce energy, restore weight and perform all its other functions efficiently. There are FIVE FUNDAMENTAL METABOLIC CONTROL SYSTEMS which must function properly to keep you healthy. I recommend that you take a Metabolic Nutrition Test, before you take ANY supplements. It's not because it's natural that it is safe for you. Call 561-575-1867 for more help. Mentionned that I, JOJO, refered you. Hope to hear from you. Good Health! IN TRUST

Hi!
I need some help on finding out if I can take the following diet supplements at the same time: Mustletech Thermo Shred, Calcium Pyruvate 500mg weight loss, FAT BLOCKADE WEIGHT LOSS Chitosan Gota Kola Lecithin TV. I am 42 years old retired from the Army. This past August 2006 I had a car accident in which I suffered a C2 neck fracture, herniatic disk (between L4-L5) and a dislocated left shoulder. Due to this I couldn't do any exercises, therefore, I gain 45 pounds. Now I am clear to do some walking on treadmill and other simple exercises. I am going to do the exercises and the proper diet but I did some research about this 3 products mentioned above, but I do not know if I can take all 3 at the same time. That is the info that I need. What kind of interaction would I have if any. I am trying to get something that might help me to boost my body and help me to extract and block some of the fat that I gain. My home number is 516-385-6336 and my emails is yankfan511@hotmail.com. Could somebody please either call me or email me. Waiting for a prompt response. Thank you.
