Space Studies Master of Science degree

I have completed the course work for the Masters degree in Space Studies and will have the thesis project completed shortly. Overall, this was an excellent educational experience and a very good value. The course work is highly interesting and well formatted. There are some terrific instructors, including former astronauts and the co-discoverer of the Hale-Bopp comet, all of whom showed distinct interest in their students. The course materials are relatively inexpensive and many are ...

Great multidisciplinary degree

This degree provides excellent grounding all aspects of space studies. There is opportunity to study planetary sciences, aerospace sciences and aspects of the space industry such as mission management. There is plenty of opportunity for research and a lot of opportunity for discussion with other students. My overall experience has been very good.

Challenging, but fun, and a great value!

I enjoyed this challenging program, a cross between aerospace science and political science! The courses in Rocket Propulsion and Orbital Mechanics were challenging, and I had a chance to explore the history of space exploration, space policy, space warfare (including ballistic missile defense), as well as current and emerging space powers. I like AMU so much that, when the post-9/11 GI Bill came out, and I retired too soon to pass my benefit on to my children, I decided to use my newly-found benefit to get a second masters degree (MA in National Security Studies, which is breaking my backside, but very interesting and challenging).
