I have had nothing but problems with AMU since before I even got into this fine"university" (SNICKER SNICKER!)I was bumped from a Dec. start to a Jan. start to a MARCH start due to dealing with the combined ineptitude of the tech system and the petty bureaucrat functionaries whose customer ...

What an awesome school! I have spent many years in the military...along with many schools, both online and in residence, and AMU is defitely at the very top of my list. The courses give the right balance of giving you a great education and realizing you have other priorities. One ...
Faculty problem
October 31, 2007
First the positives. I would say that the online class was easy to navigate. Overall the system AMU uses is good. Now the negative. The faculty is very unresponsive. I already had 90 credit hours (3.8 GPA) towered my BA degree when I signed up with AMU. My first class ...

I have had the same instructors as the previous poster, and I must say that they are excellent. A long with the dept. chair and other instructors. I have attended other online universities, private colleges, community colleges, and even Ohio State and have found AMU the most difficult and most ...
Homeland Security

Great program with outstanding instructors. Instructors have real-world experience (for example I had the Fire Chief of Tampa-St Petersburg, the head of the UN Anti-Terrorism branch, etc, as instructors) comapred to individuals just teaching from the "book". As an active duty military member I appreciated the flexible schedule, and the ...

Been going there for 2 years now and haven't had any problems at all. In fact, I've managed to get some of my coworkers and subordinates enrolled. It's flexible, and practical for a working student. Great school, highly recommend AMU to anyone looking to further their education.

I recently started AMU about 6 months ago. I was a bit sceptical at first; however, the whole experience I have had with them was great. It is one of few online schools that is now both regionally and nationally accredited. If you don't agree, research it yourself. It is accredited by 2 companies recognized by the US Department of Education(USDE). It is nationally accredited by the Distance Education and Training Counsel (DETC) and regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. Overall the classes are balanced and easy to fit into any schedule. The person has to be dedicated and work on his or her time management to do well in the classes. The school is great for military service members.

When I began at AMU the first professor I had was incredible. The second one was just ok, and the rest were great. In response to "Faculty Problem" I think it may really have been just that one professor and at every school there will be someone like that. Overall the faculty are awesome and the rest of the AMU/APU staff is great.
