Well, since AMU meets regional accreditation standards as laid out by North Central Association, which also regionally accredits Ivy League schools, I suppose that you are calling people who go to Yale, Harvard, Brown and Cambridge morons because those colleges are all accredited by the same board. In fact, I am willing to bet that you calling people moronic is like a kettle calling a pot black, because you don't know you are talking about. First of all, I had to write a letter in order to get accepted, as well as provide references. They were checked up on, as my supervisor, a captain in a state law enforcement agency, told me they called him, as did my Rabbi. Also, out of all of my professors in my core and requirement courses that I have had in my almost 4 years there working towards my Intelligence Studies degree, only one has never worked in the Intelligence community, and she was a Army Chaplain with a doctorate in divinity who was teaching a course on Islam. I have had high level intelligence officers both currently and formerly working in the IC as my professors. In fact, one was promoted to be THE top analyst for the DEA and I took his last course he taught at AMU. I have found the courses to be highly relevant.

In part you are right but in part you are wrong. There are no assurances that the degree from a "real school" will be better. Both schools have accreditation and my experience of having two bachelor degrees(Criminal Justice/History) shocked me when I started my law enforcement career and non of the texts that I used applied to the real world. My second degree in History to take the teacher Praxis test to become a certified teacher only help somewhat but I had to study hard to pass the Middle School and High School Social Studies Exams. For the most part, online courses are the best way to continue education while having to work and provide in today's tough economy, secondly in state tuition for online courses for undergraduate and graduate courses are still higher than AMU or other online schools, yet they both have accreditation and often except transfer credits. What does the GRE or GMAT or MAT really have to prove? I can see having a good GPA and references but to base an admission on the result of a test is ridiculous and that's why colleges are moving away from the practice. My friend who hires people tells me that at the top of the resume they all look the same for the most part but he focuses on the bottom of the resume where experience, internships and accomplishments were made to supplement the degree, meaning don't place all your emphasis on the degree and overlook the entire process. Best of Luck

Not a good program - no admissions requirements, so any moron can sign up for it, as stated above by another reviewer. Grades are completely based on discussion questions, so the degree is worthless. Another degree mill. It does not remotely compare with the quality education offered by respected graduate schools whose students pass admission requirements to get in: GRE exams, high GPA from a traditional university, intro essay and 25 page writing sample, 3 strong recommendations from professors. In sharp contrast, no selection process at APU/AMU. Just sign up and get in, no work or discussions that mean anything. If you are serious about your degree, go to a real school, where a quality education is possible, not a for profit degree mill. I switched to a traditional graduate program and am glad that I did.
