BA in Psychology with minor in substance abuse

I had trouble transfering credits from auo to PSU. Besides that this college was great and I am glad that I stayed!

Glad I figured it out early -- all about the $$$$

I was concerned almost immediately when it became apparent that the majority of the students in my classes had a very poor grasp on basic spelling and grammar. The instructor was also a student there, and I had to correct him after he incorrectly graded a paper. It's called 'blended learning' but the actual on campus classes were a waste of time. I haven't attended long enough to review the school for the most part, ...

BA psych program
February 24, 2012
I read the reviews among numerous colleges and I see the same comments. I have 5 classes left to obtain by BA in psychology at Argosy. I knew what field I will be doing after I graduate, so I decided to pursue the educational institute that will train me into the field I am pursuing. This is step one-knowing exactly what you want to do before spending thousands of dollars. Basically, it comes down to ...

So Far, So Good
February 23, 2012
Well, to be honest here: I am a VERY old fashioned student. I enjoy the simple times when we could use pencil and paper to write an essay in place of silly internet sources. However, the school as been AMAZING with communication and assistance. I came from a silly Community College that didn't help at all. I have been amazed with the amount of support the Admin has given.

Second year and I love it!

I'm in my second year at Argosy and have had a great experience all around. When a problem has came up the advisers were right on it. The professors have been out standing and willing to help when needed. I would recommend This University to others in a heart beat.

Really? No alternatives?

My problem with this school is versatility. You would think because the school focuses on Psychology, Education, and Business they would realize that not everyone is the same. I have dyscalculia which is a math learning disability. I had great difficulty with the beginning review math class, and somehow passed by mostly guessing, and help of friends and family. I now have Quantitative Literacy math class, I'm having extreme difficulties with this class because of ...

Argosy is all about the money and not the student
March 7, 2011

Everyone always have something negative to say about something because they are having issues, everyone's experience is different, I have been attending Argosy since May 2009 and still going strong I don't graduate until sept 2014 I'm only attending part time because I am not really stabled and I am a single mother with 3, but anyways I have had a good experience so far and have been doing very well in my classes, I start my internship very soon and I am very excited about it just to get the hands on experience will help me in the long term, I know when I graduate I will find a decent job because I know God will make certain of that, I am not going to let these dumb ass reviews discourage me, before I read them I was doing fine and will continue to do so and for ya'll information Argosy is great school and the professors do care as well as the academic advisors! and Argosy Online University an accredited school...

I am currently in my first term, I am having a great experience, they are a bit expensive, but I really enjoy my classes and in oppose to on campus classes where I barely got to talk to any one, I am always able to reach some on when needed and my questions are always answered. I feel great about this school and I am glad I made the decision to attend! They even worked with me when I had an emergency and had to drop my classes, I've never been to any school with so much support, I email my instructors and they email me back immediately! Great school!

The APA only accredits doctoral level programs. Argosy has 10 campuses that are accredited for the PsyD in Clinical Psychology...other doctoral programs are not accredited by the APA. You can go to apa.org to verify this. Since this is an online degree forum one should note that none of the degrees offered online are APA accredited.

To: I am about to seek a lawyer and report to news

I am in the same boat. I have hired an attorney and am going forward with plans to sue the school and get at the very least my money back. I had very good grades, never heard from any professor that I was lacking in any way, shape, or form and was told after my PCE that I failed. There was a list of all of my faults and when I posed the question how can you get through this program with these grades, never being told that your lacking (in fact you hear over and over again your doing great, your going to make a great....., you'll have no problems with this even by your internship professor) and fail your final. My campus hired a man who had been filed from his previous institution for his treatment of students and they put him in as the Director of Training. I filed complaints against him and he was put on my panel. It's a sad sort. I've heard that lawsuits are being filed in Florida, California, Washington, and Hawaii. I was lied to by the recruiter, when the school found out they fired her but didn't tell any of the students that they had been lied to. It’s a sad situation.
