Happy so far..............
December 4, 2011
I have been attending Ashford for almost a year now, finishing my BA in Accounting. So far I have been happy. You may have to contact FA a few times if there is a glitch, but if you are persistent, it gets taken care of. The academic advisers call about once a month to check on you AND they always have returned my calls. The coursework can be challenging as you advance, well at least ...

A Good Program
November 4, 2011
Overall, Ashford University was a positive experience. The education was sound with substance. I appreciated the interaction I had with the staff (from my counselor to Financial Aid). Everyone was supportive and worked hard to give me a sense of support. The value overall is good and the advancement and technology is first class. Ashford University is a good school.

I worked for me...
September 5, 2011
I am a current student at Ashford. It has been a relatively good experience for me. I don't know if there is another format I could have functioned as well within as a single father working full-time. I have had some bad professors, but most of them have been effective and supportive. I agree with some of the other reviews in that I question the caliber of some of our student peers. I graduate next ...

Do your research on the school
August 12, 2011
I am a former student of Ashford University, just having left the school in May 2011 to transfer into Bellevue, University. I will neither say that the school is outstanding or horrible, but this school does have its issues. The reasoning behind my leaving the school was because of the lack of professionalism on the staff's part as a whole, to include the degree auditing department, business office, and the financial aid department. The auditing ...

Not a Typical University
July 12, 2011
I just applied a few days ago. Like most universities, this would mean I wouldn't be starting until the winter like I intended since I applied so late. My plan was to go back to community college and get a lot of the general electives out of the way (history, math, economics) for a semester before going to Ashford for financial reasons. My "guidance counselor" (aka a sales woman) called me literally an hour after ...

HORRIBLE Experience...They avoid telling you what your Financial status in but sucker you into enrollment!!!
June 30, 2011
This school is full of crap! After being overwhelmed with calls each day and harrassed by the enrollment guy to get started I enrolled and got started with my first classes Adult Psychology. After the first 2 weeks, I never heard back from Financial aid and when I did it was automatic emails that told me forms were incomplete...huh well why would you enroll me to begin. This continued on until I completed the first ...

How good is Ashford University?
May 19, 2011
I will be graduating this month from MBA Project Management program. Started Ashford University September of 2009. From the first day until today Ashford has provided me with a first class administrative and academic support and excellent means of communication. The quality of courses and professors has been outstanding. Teachers and advisors have always been available to answer questions and solve problems. I have not had any problems with Ashford’s support system. I would certainly ...

This school is horrible. Teachers like to fail students for every little detail even if all your work is correct. The instructors are not very pleasant. Even the academic and financial aid advisors are not great about returning calls or helping you out. Please reconsider another school before attending this one. I am suppose to graduate in September, but not anymore.

I think Ashford is a great college. I am graduating with my BA in Business Administration and will soon begin my MA in Teaching with Technology.
I have had a great experience. The financial aid department needs to get a better grip but other than that I have no major complaints. It is just like any other university you get some Profs that are wonderful others not so much.
Online is very hard, you have to be really determined to succeed at it. I think that the people who trashed the University were jut not cut out to do it. As far as cost, hay all school charge a ton of money for you education.

Well, I had a bumpy start with Financial Aid when I first enrolled at AU, but I can honestly say that since then, I have had a very smooth matriculation, and I look forward to becoming a proud AU Alumni after I finish these last 5 classes! Financial Aid has become A LOT better since my enrollment, and I enjoy my classes. I have an instructor now that will ask you to re-do and re-submit assignment before he gives you a final grade if he sees something on there isn't what he is looking for! I can't think of any other online school I'd rather be at right now, and I am seriously considering getting my MBA with them. The only reason I would consider the other school I'm looking at, Columbus State University, is because their online MBA program is AACSB Accredited. I LOVE AU!

I've been with Ashford U for over a year now. I'm in the military and deploy all around the world so they are very friedly if I have to miss a deadline. As far as their financial aid is concerned I just turn in my Tuition Assistance papers when they are due and never had a problem. I find them very military friendly, courteous, and knowledgable. They help me out with everything I need to be a successful student.

Carolyn I couldn't agree more! Dealing with Ashford University's financial dept. is a nightmare. Just throwing this out there, but why is that I can call my academic advisor all day and all week, all I get is an answering machine or she's in a meeting. But as soon as they lose my financial paper work, she's the first call! I'm just sayin

I am really upset with how these so call professonals are handling business here at the, Ashford University, starting with the financial aid office. I have been trying to get my paper work out of the way so that I can focus my attention on my class work ,but there is no way that I can do this because someone at ,Ashford University have drop the ball and no one is taking responsiblity for it. So far there is only one person that appears to be professional and that is the person that reels you into ,Ashford just before you confirm and a few weeks after once the money stars to come in there seem to be all kinds of problems to keep you from getting your refund they really want to keep all your money, so they make it hard for you to get it claming to be pass dates ,but no one has told you of the dates in question I am just sick of Ashford University. I will not return once I get my information.

I had a lot of trouble with this University it was a nightmare with trying to turn in paperwork they would recieve a document then turn around and say it was lost, this was a regular occurence once I finally started classes they told me half way through that they needed to cancelled my classes because they had no paperwork (even thou I had copies and fax confirmations saying they did) at that point I decided not to continue with them. A few weeks later they informed me that i owed $738 for a class I never finished so I offered to pay &550 to make up for what I did not complete and they refused and were exteremly rude and yelled when I was very calm. Take my advice I enrolled in Phoniex University and they are wonderful and so are they instructors. I would not suggest anyone attend Ashford.
