Satisfied with my educational experience at Ashford
January 25, 2015
I entered into getting my degree with Ashford in the Summer of 2012. I went to two vocational area schools and found that they wasted my time and my good money one of those institution is now being looked at for misleading students into entering their institution. I had read some of the reviews of Ashford and those that appeared negative seemed to only be concerned about the finances of attending the University. I myself ...

observe those who complain then you will understand
December 20, 2014
I am reading some of those reviews and is having a hard time comprehending exactly what they are saying. Most of the complains are about money and some services. Those who complain about the education if you read through the complains its easy to understand why. I have been attending AU from 2012 and is presently completing my last class. My experience have been great and I cannot really complain beside once having an advisor ...

Stay Away From Ashford - They Will Lie To Get You In!
April 4, 2014
I was mislead from the start. Financial Aid does not cover all fees like they stated. I only attended four weeks of classes at Ashford. I stopped going the day I found out I had a balance with the school after only attending 4 weeks (Hundreds of dollars I now owe them, so they say). They did receive some money for me, however, not enough to cover all the fees. They lied about obtaining my ...

A critical look at Ashford
July 2, 2013
Let me start off by saying that there are several things that Ashford does very well. First, Ashford has an amazingly intuitive user interface. I am concurrently taking classes at a Cal State University and have yet to have had one online class be comparable in general ease of use. Second, Ashford's Constellation program (basically a better version of nook and kindle for desktop) is designed to make studying and note-taking a breeze. Third, the ...

Thoroughly a GOOD university.

I have read the reviews listed here and agree with a few but disagree with the majority. Yes, nothing is perfect and Ashford is considered the same--not perfect. Have I had problems and issues arise? Yes. However, I have ALWAYS had great support from the staff; my advisor is a GODSEND!! NO JOKE! Palmer, is his nickname, has been a tremendous help to me throughout the years--not just the first 5 weeks. He still after ...

Decent School
February 15, 2013
I have been pursuing my BA of Business Administration since February of 2011. So far, I have successfully completed each course (22 courses total) I have taken earning grades of A's and B's with nothing lower than a B-. I am currently working on my major-specific courses. I need to complete 7 more major-specific courses and then I will only need to complete elective courses. I am currently in my 23rd course, which an accounting ...

A great experience!
July 15, 2012
My experience with Ashford University was a great online experience! I received my MBA in Human Resources Management in the Spring of 2010 and I am currently working in my field. I believe that with my enhanced degree, it has helped me tremendously to grow within my field of HR. I recall everything went smoothly, such as with my financial aid, purchasing books, the instructors assistance, the lectures and homework, etc. In the end, my ...

This school is horrible. Teachers like to fail students for every little detail even if all your work is correct. The instructors are not very pleasant. Even the academic and financial aid advisors are not great about returning calls or helping you out. Please reconsider another school before attending this one. I am suppose to graduate in September, but not anymore.

I think Ashford is a great college. I am graduating with my BA in Business Administration and will soon begin my MA in Teaching with Technology.
I have had a great experience. The financial aid department needs to get a better grip but other than that I have no major complaints. It is just like any other university you get some Profs that are wonderful others not so much.
Online is very hard, you have to be really determined to succeed at it. I think that the people who trashed the University were jut not cut out to do it. As far as cost, hay all school charge a ton of money for you education.

Well, I had a bumpy start with Financial Aid when I first enrolled at AU, but I can honestly say that since then, I have had a very smooth matriculation, and I look forward to becoming a proud AU Alumni after I finish these last 5 classes! Financial Aid has become A LOT better since my enrollment, and I enjoy my classes. I have an instructor now that will ask you to re-do and re-submit assignment before he gives you a final grade if he sees something on there isn't what he is looking for! I can't think of any other online school I'd rather be at right now, and I am seriously considering getting my MBA with them. The only reason I would consider the other school I'm looking at, Columbus State University, is because their online MBA program is AACSB Accredited. I LOVE AU!

I've been with Ashford U for over a year now. I'm in the military and deploy all around the world so they are very friedly if I have to miss a deadline. As far as their financial aid is concerned I just turn in my Tuition Assistance papers when they are due and never had a problem. I find them very military friendly, courteous, and knowledgable. They help me out with everything I need to be a successful student.

Carolyn I couldn't agree more! Dealing with Ashford University's financial dept. is a nightmare. Just throwing this out there, but why is that I can call my academic advisor all day and all week, all I get is an answering machine or she's in a meeting. But as soon as they lose my financial paper work, she's the first call! I'm just sayin

I am really upset with how these so call professonals are handling business here at the, Ashford University, starting with the financial aid office. I have been trying to get my paper work out of the way so that I can focus my attention on my class work ,but there is no way that I can do this because someone at ,Ashford University have drop the ball and no one is taking responsiblity for it. So far there is only one person that appears to be professional and that is the person that reels you into ,Ashford just before you confirm and a few weeks after once the money stars to come in there seem to be all kinds of problems to keep you from getting your refund they really want to keep all your money, so they make it hard for you to get it claming to be pass dates ,but no one has told you of the dates in question I am just sick of Ashford University. I will not return once I get my information.

I had a lot of trouble with this University it was a nightmare with trying to turn in paperwork they would recieve a document then turn around and say it was lost, this was a regular occurence once I finally started classes they told me half way through that they needed to cancelled my classes because they had no paperwork (even thou I had copies and fax confirmations saying they did) at that point I decided not to continue with them. A few weeks later they informed me that i owed $738 for a class I never finished so I offered to pay &550 to make up for what I did not complete and they refused and were exteremly rude and yelled when I was very calm. Take my advice I enrolled in Phoniex University and they are wonderful and so are they instructors. I would not suggest anyone attend Ashford. is not affiliated with Ashford University in any way.
