PhD very successful!

Earned my PhD in Educational Psychology in 2008. Quickly was hired as an associate professor for a state university. If you are worried about earning an online degree from Capella- don't! I was hired out of a pool of 215 applicants with doctoral degrees. It isn't an easy school, but your degree is worth something when you are done.

I have found the materials and books required for the courses to be well worth the money. The scholarly articles are generally an asset to the readings. Professors tend to respond to questions in a timely manner. The cost of attending Capella is equivalent to attending a traditional state or private college in Ohio. Hard work but well worth it!

This has been a very rigorous and demanding journey but I have learned so much both academically as well as personally. The online environment was extremely interactive and engaging. I felt compelled to keep pushing myself to learn more and I feel that I am a much more well rounded person than I was before I took any courses with Capella.

I graduated from Capella University in June 2003 with my Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology. Overall, my experience with Capella was outstanding! I do not understand the negative reviews of this school. This school was perfect in every regard. Additionally, I have reaped the rewards of my Master's degree. I have since secured a professorship at a local community college in Tennessee and my degree has been respected by my colleagues and administrators. ...
