Description
Post-Master's Certificate, Introduction: Nurses with a master's degree in nursing are eligible to continue graduate study and obtain a post-master's certificate in selected areas. Four post-MSN certificate options offer registered nurses advanced practice education, qualifying them to take national certification exams. Students complete course work in the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner concentration (NNP), the Nurse-Midwifery concentration (NM), or the Family Nurse Practitioner concentration (FNP). An additional post-MSN certificate is offered in Nursing Education (Nurs. Educ.) in which a national certification exam is being planned for the near future. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Nurse-Midwifery, Family Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Education concentrations are offered online. Applicants for post-master's certificate options complete the Application for Admission to Graduate Degrees or Certificate Programs which can be completed online at www.ecu.edu/gradschool or obtained from the Graduate School. MAT or GRE scores are not required for post-master's.
