Description
The mission of the graduate program in criminal justice is to educate new practitioners and to provide professional education for those working in the field who are preparing for career advancement. The program emphasizes both criminal justice practice and criminal justice administration. The practice component focuses on specific methods, techniques, and skills utilized when interacting with police officers, probation and parole officers, mediators, guardians ad litem, and attorneys. The administration component focuses on the formulation and implementation of policies, laws, and management issues such as decision making, fiscal responsibility, program evaluation, and performance evaluation. Systemic issues that impact the operation of criminal justice agencies also are emphasized.Admission Requirements: Candidates seeking admission into the graduate program must fulfill the general requirements of the Graduate school. These criteria include:* A bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution.* A minimum overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or 3.0 in senior year.* Satisfactory entrance examination score is required on the GRE or MAT. (TOEFL may be required)Application Process: Applicants are required to submit a completed Graduate School Application Package, as well as a detailed resume (curriculum vitae), statement of purpose; transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities, and three letters of reference to the East Carolina University Graduate School. The application deadline for the Fall Semester is April 1st. The deadline for Spring Semester is October 1st. Enrollment is limited and admission will be competitive. Multiple selection criteria will be used, including GPA, entrance examination scores, prior academic preparation, statement of purpose, quality of references, and prior work or volunteer experiences. I am taking classes at Asheville Buncombe Technical College here in Asheiville North Carolina. I am in the Crimianl Justice program here. I am planning on moving on pretty soon.

I am taking classes online with the University of Phoenix trying to receive my Master's. I would like to be able to transfer my credits and attend ECU online. What would I need to do. I already have 15 credit hrs. and a 3.66 GPA.
