Description
The Aircraft Maintenance degree combines a technical background in aircraft maintenance with a well-rounded academic program. Embry-Riddle offers special Aircraft Maintenance Technology courses to Students in the Extended Campus who are experienced but unlicensed aircraft maintenance specialists. These courses deal largely with the theory and concepts of all aspects of airframe and powerplant maintenance and with the problems, considerations and practices involved in maintaining aircraft in air- worthy condition based on the body of knowledge required of experienced aircraft maintenance specialists under Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 65. The completion of Type 65 courses does not influence the determination by the FAA of eligibility to take the airframe and/or powerplant examinations. The courses, together with on-the-job experience and/or successful completion of the Airframe&Powerplant examinations, may be applied toward meeting the requirements of various Embry-Riddle degree programs.
