Description
The Bachelor of Science in Community and Human services with a concentration in Mental Health Administration focuses on the planning, development and delivery of services to individuals who suffer from severe and persistent metal illness. A particular emphasis is placed on the inter relationships of the social and economic environments on those who are mentally ill, and how human service professionals can effectively work with consumers to assure the delivery of high quality, culturally sensitive and economically sound treatment and rehabilitation programs.Students develop an understanding of the issues through taking courses and participating in practical experiences that expose them to real life issues that impact mentally ill persons and their advocates on a daily basis. For those who are interested in a management focus, course opportunities can be developed which integrate public administration, business, and human services.
