Description
The Bachelor of Science in Business, Management, and Economics with a concentration in Health Services Management examines the core roles and functions involved in the coordination of human, physical and financial resources within health care organizations. The concentration draws on analytical tools and theories from a variety of disciplines to enable students to gain a sophisticated understanding of the complex nature of this industry. Students examine the role of government (national, state, local) and public policy in the delivery of health services; management theory and applications; organizational and human resource management; and financial administration. Students are also expected to develop appropriate quantitative and research skills.Students develop individualized degree programs suited to their needs and interests, and meeting the expectations of the concentration. Students can also earn college credit for life and work experience through ESC's prior learning assessment process.
