Description
The Software Engineering major is specifically designed for the student preparing for a career as a software professional, while the Computer Science major leans more toward preparation for graduate work in computer science. There is significant overlap between the two, however, and each provides excellent preparation for a fulfilling lifetime career as a computer professional. The curricula for both majors take a systems view of computing, emphasizing the interdependence of design, object orientation, and distributed systems and networks, from basic software through systems design to software engineering.

About halfway through this degree and all I can say is, its TOUGH. There are also many roadblocks in the way of completing this degree that just don't make sense.
1) Most of the core online classes for this degree at offered only once a year, if you can't handle the full course load due to work, etc, you can miss a class that you need and not be able to take it for another year.
2) Requirements include up to 3 the third level of a foreign language, not offered online. Physics I & II, not offered online. Several math classes, not offered online. Speech, world culture, etc, not offered online. Make sure you have an institute local to you you can take these classes at before you start this program.
And the classes that are offered online as part of this program many of them are insanely tough, requiring you to teach yourself complex subjects from the book with little homework to guide you and test that often are your whole grade.
