Description

The B.S. in Social Science with a major in Interdisciplinary Social Science (ISS) offers students a liberal arts education that helps them become informed citizens who understand the myriad issues emerging at every level of society. Rather than specializing in a particular content area, an ISS program emphasizes the application of critical thinking skills and cultural and international literacy to several disciplines. Students build on this foundation with concentrations in economics, geography, or sociology.

Excellent! August 27, 2007 at 10:11 p.m.

I am graduating from the online ISS program at FSU this December. If you are considering this program... go for it!

The advisors are excellent and answer your questions quickly and efficiently. They really go out of their way to help you.

The majority of the staff is wonderful. I only had one teacher that I had minor problems with and they were easily solved. Every staff member I have come across (minus a couple of grad students) has been awesome.

The work can be difficult but if you work hard at your classes you will do well. The professors are always willing to help you if you are struggling.

All in all a good deal!
