FSU now offers an online Master of Science in Nursing (Nurse Educator track). Nurse Educators are prepared to function as faculty in schools of nursing (at a time of extreme shortages at all levels), educators in healthcare facilities, patient educators, community educators, or entrepreneurs.Content focuses on the theoretical foundations of nursing education, the teaching-learning process, tests and measurements, cultural diversity, ethics, curriculum development, implementation and evaluation, clinical teaching and evaluation, and strategies needed for teaching any group in any setting. Practice teaching assures opportunities for application of all concepts throughout the program in a variety of settings. Students in this role specialty are encouraged to be Teaching Assistants throughout their program for the experience.
