After beginning my education with GCU I discovered this university hires a majority of adjunct professors. Which means that these are other full-time working professional who are adjunct professors working part-time to make extra money. They are not full time faculty nor are they set up for tenure. Some times you will get a great teacher but most of the time these are people who have never taught in a traditional university setting before. I wish I had known what I was entering into with GCU before enrolling. If you are lucky enough to get a full time faculty professor they are GREAT and worth every penny. However, all of the adjunct professors are not worth half of what I am paying to attain my master's degree.

Terrible universtiy and worse customer service

Finished half of the program and had issue after issue. Promised scholarships and conveniently took them away after I enrolled. Repeatedly did not follow their own policy handbook but held students responsible for everything. At times took weeks to get a call or email back from a financial adviser. Christian university that does not follow any of the tenants of the Bible. Sent out emails asking for me to do certain things and once I did would say I needed someone else. When pointed out the email that was sent it was always a different story. Technology was horrific. E-book or email rarely worked but you were still responsible for the work. Terrible experience. I would categorize them as money grubbing crooks.

I love GCU! They did have a few glitches in the online system but it has since been fixed. I had one teacher who did not know what she was talking about and so is no longer with the university every other teacher has been very supportive and helpful. I know I have learned so much and grown as a person by attending GCU. It is an excellent university!

The Executive MBA at Grand Canyon University was an incredible program. There were a few glitches in the online learning platform, but those arose from the changeover to a better system. The face-to-face instruction from Dr. Blanchard and other instructors during the residencies was priceless. Textbooks are primarily edited compilations, but to the point, custom bound, and included in the cost of the program. HIGHLY Recommended!!

Only Interested in Profit

Executive MBA - June 8, 2010

This MBA program was a huge disappointment. With extreme disorganization, lack of communication, poor electronic access, failure to provide the correct books, and new teachers who do not know the material themselves, the value is minimal. However, they do manage to take more of your money and will lock you in to financial traps that contradict the espoused values of a "Christian" institution. Students beware!
