Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers master's degrees in computer or electrical engineering. Emphases include communications and signal processing, computer systems architecture, electric power and energy systems, information systems security and networking, microelectronics and photonics, nondestructive evaluation and electromagnetics, software systems, systems and controls, and VLSI design. Each program totals 30 graduate credits; a thesis or non-thesis option may be selected. The thesis option is recommended for those who intend to pursue a doctor of philosophy or a career in research and development. The non-thesis Master of Science requires a creative component.
