Description

The Master's in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (MIOP) degree at Kansas State University provides human resource professionals with the skills and knowledge to excel in today's rapidly changing and increasingly complex organizational environment through on-campus and web-based classes. Under faculty guidance, students apply analytical skills and course concepts to company-related issues.Working professionals can complete the 38-hour program of study in 2 1/2 years. Each summer for two summers, students come to the campus for two weeks. They participate in workshops, learn to use distance technology to complete their courses, interact with each other, and begin two summer courses (6 credit hours).In addition to the summer courses, one three-credit hour web course is completed each fall and each spring. In all, students take 16 credit hours per year for two years. The third year students work on a 6-hour practicum under the guidance of their instructors--experienced professors who have been teaching the courses for the on-campus Master's Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology for several years.Students are provided with books and password protected access to the MIOP web site, where they will find their courses and program information.Admission is selective and is limited.
