Kaplan doesn't care about students

I have been enrolled at Kaplan for 3 years and will be completing a 4 yr degree for HR management. However, in January Kaplan sent me the balance of my financial aid, which totalled to around $4000.00. The check was sent for the purpose of student living expenses. Then, 3 months later, my financial aid advisor called me to inform me that Kaplan's financial aid department made and ERROR and sent me the money by mistake. Now they have told me that my only options are to take out a personal loan to cover the balance or repay the money. Mind you, they informed me of this error about three months AFTER I got the money. They actually don't even have their information right, they said they send me 1 check when they sent me two checks. Needless to say, I was furious and contacted student relations who initiated an investigation into my greivance. The review board had two options, wipe off the balance that was accrued due to KAPLAN's error, or hold my degree until the balance is paid. After two investigations, Kaplan has refused to fix their error and now my degree will be held until I repay the money. This is unfair and cruel. I am in my very last semester. I had plans to immediately enroll in graduate law school. Now I can do nothing. I will be paying student loans, paying my balance at Kaplan, all working for minimum wage. I cannot use my degree I have worked so hard for. Kaplan doesn't care about the students and I would NOT GO TO KAPLAN!!!! The person I worked with in student relations does nothing to help the students. I have contacted the florida Bar Association and have immediate plans to file a law suite against Kaplan University for the unpaid balance as well as for personal pain and suffering. I am now left with the option to do nothing but continue to work hard for minimum wage, which is why I decided to enroll in higher education to begin with. Kaplan has crushed my dreams and snatched my future from me without caring.
