Left without my Degree
November 30, 2011
I finished 7 courses and was half done my Thesis when they stopped answering my emails and phones messages. Then they changed names and closed. The money I paid and the Degree I deserved went with it. Now I'm left with nothing. Now what?

I'm applaud at what I'm reading and finding out this degree is garbage, I completed the studies and graduated and have transcript and diploma. Also IRS wants more information from(that I don't)they needed to fill a 1099 T something they were suppose to fillout and didn't what total disrespect for any of us.

No Better No Worse

I have 6 other degrees, including a professional degree via conventional programs. I chose to do K-W courses instead of going to seminars etc. for my continuation training. These courses were paid for by the federal government and I studied hard and used my grades to document completion to the tax payers. I found the study to be just as hard or easy as you wanted to make it. My dissertation I would put up ...

Even a university can fail

Be carefull which online school you attend! Failure of this school ruined many lives and left many people in debt including me. It was a sham. They sold you inch thick text books and you take one test. No lectures, no teacher or student interaction, no progressive learning. They lied. The smartest people at this school were the administrators that walked away with our money and turned off the servers and locked the door. They ...

PHD Engineering Management
October 20, 2010
I have completed my PhD in Engineering Management in 2003, It was a great program, excellent communication with faculty team and appointed advisor. Kennedy Western was rated third in top twenty. The change of name to Warren National and then closing the operation, put me and my degree in a very embaressing position withing my company and business community. This is a loss of credibility I am facing now, which is to me a big ...

PhD Engineering management

The program was very beneficial in helping me grow personally and triple the size of my medical device business. My dissertation on Polymer Nanotechnology yielded four US and international patents. I had a BS from UMass Lowell and an MS from UConn prior to Kennedy Western and the course work was comparable, maybe a little more challenging because you were mostly on your own, which is real life after college. You should never stop learning ...

Worth the Time and Money

The materials were great and courses were legitimate. While it is always better to have an accredited degree, I am glad I was able to complete the Kennedy Western engineering degree program. I learned a lot.

In Response to XXAO. Many colleges are offering online classes successfully. Most of the Engineering Students were working in the field already. If you can't build a circuit, you did not need to be in the classes. I believe you failed the classes and were not able to perform without a classroom environment. However, as an Engineer, you must be able to learn on your own. College only gets you ready for more learning in the future. I have read over 800 engineering books from cover to cover on many subjects since I received my associates degree from a brick and mortar college in 1986. Later I received my BS from Kennedy Western. I am a successful Engineer I am an expert in my field. It is unfortunate that people throw stones at what they have not tried, or are not capable of handling. If you can not pick up a book (a well written one) and learn from it you are in the wrong field. The instron machine was not available at the University where I earned my AAS in Electro-Mechanical Engineering but everything that you mentioned was understood and the information was tested...
If you need the TA or Professor to hold your hand during school, you better get their phone number to hold your hand throughout your career. It is Engineers like you that sicken me when they arrive on the job, and I must spoon feed them to get them up to PAR. I believe it is just laziness on their part.

Now that I have said all the above. If the degree was a diploma mill, then the FBI would have busted the school. That did not happen, ever. The attacks came from the slow to respond to the need of "Adult Professional Learners" government schools. Our educational system in the US needs a major overhaul... I would like to get my MS, but I'm not going to pay 45,000 for something that I already know.... That is buying a piece of paper, and should be considered illegal. My KW degree has done well for me, and I have performed work on many government projects.

Many scientific devices have been designed by Kennedy Western University Graduates. I wish they would come back, I would get my Phd from them.

Kennedy-Warren or Kennedy-Western is a diploma mill!!!! It is a fake degree. All online degree that is regarding to engineering should be banned. There should never be a online degree for engineering. You can not learn engineering online, how will you do engineering experiment? How would you apply engineering principle if you never took a lab class? How would you setup a circuit board if there are not TA or professor there to help? How would do and understand a tension, compression, flexure, fatigue, impact, torsion and hardness tests if you don't have a instron machine ($25000 machine)?
