Metropolitan State College of Denver Comments

Metropolitan State College of Denver's online classes are the worst I have ever seen. Professors post a few one page canned lectures--- and after that you never hear from them at all---- other than getting tons of work to do constantly, and having to make dozens of obligatory and required chats with other students--- it is a total waste of time--- you can buy better video programs at Barnes & Noble in any subject than what is given at MSCD's online "education" programs.  

Then, professors will give blisteringly hard tests, with extremely bizarre and convoluted questions--- so, even when you know all the material and you know if they're going to test your knowledge, you will do great--- the only problem is, the tests are designed, as directed by MSCD to make it so students can't pass them--- What the problem is, is that the Department of Ed. doesn't like that online students make higher grades than students in campus based classes--- so in order to appease the Dept. of Ed. and the State auditor's demands for MSCD to improve the quality of their online courses--- they'll produce a list of lower grades students are making, which is suppose to show how much better and more difficult their online courses are now.

I about quit 3 times when I was there.  Graduated in 2008 and was so relieved to be out of that place.  The education program was so tedious and kissing arse was the only way to have good rapport with professors it seemed.  The people who work there tend to not know what is going on so acquiring information was next to impossibe at times.  Joke school, go somewhere else.
