This certificate - an optional professional credential - is awarded to students who successfully complete four courses, three required and one elective. Additional courses are offered in the spring and summer semesters. Students who have never programmed before must start with the Introduction to Programming Using Java/X52.9238; students who have programmed before and are comfortable with functions, pointers, and structures may begin with Java/X52.9269. Faculty members expect all prerequisites for each course to have been met prior to enrollment.
