Description
The core curriculum of the MCE program consists of 36 credits of coursework, split in six, 6-credit seminars. Each seminar lasts about eleven weeks. The coursework is followed by a one-week residency and graduation at Norwich located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont.
Two areas of concentration to choose from: Structural Engineering or Environmental/ Water Resources Engineering.
During the development of the MCE program, NU utilized the findings of the American Society of Civil Engineers report. As a result, the program provides a comprehensive examination of the technical side of engineering. The MCE program also addresses the administrative issues faced by today's engineers. Topics covered, therefore, range from how to perform a non-linear dynamic frame analysis to how to run a consulting office. We have combined the best of both worlds — a graduate degree in civil engineering and an MBA.
