The M.S. program exposes students to a wide array of multicultural perspectives, multidisciplinary techniques, and multiprofessional strategies for helping people to achieve non-violent, non-litigious solutions to conflicts that arise in personal, organizational, social, and international milieus. The M.S. program focuses on pragmatic approaches to solving problems inherent in human relations. It is designed to give students a thorough knowledge of the field and to provide an enduring foundation for future professional growth. The M.S. program is designed for students from any academic or professional background, including, but not limited to, undergraduate majors in sociology, peace studies, conflict resolution, social science, humanities, history, business, geography, political science, economics, anthropology, international relations, criminal justice, urban planning, psychology, education, and area studies. Applicants from any academic background are welcome. To earn the M.S. degree, students must complete 45 credit hours.
