I've just begun my studies and so far so good. The content is interesting and informative. I complement my Penn Foster studies with my own readings too. There are a lot of good books out there on dog training and dog history and psychology. I also volunteer and train at a dog shelter so the Penn Foster career diploma is extremely valuable in helping me go beyond that of the hands-on experience with dogs. This ...

I enjoyed the program very much, I learned alot. After graduation I did get a job as a dog trainer and what I learned through the program has been very helpful. My only complaint is that the opinions on dog training tactics are very broad but I felt as though the program was one sided on its opinions; good opinions none the less.

Wonderful program!

I am halfway through my career diploma and I am very impressed with the quality of information presented. It has exceeded all of my expectations and I plan to use the credential to work with K9s in my law enforcement career. Penn Foster's veterinary programs are also of interest to me and I may enroll in one later on.

This is a good basic informative program for anyone just wanting a dog training credential to go along with a bachelor's degree for example. If you are seeking education in dog behavior and training, but don't have a college degree, then you might be better off with Karen Pryor Academy or the Academy for Dog Trainers - they are way more highly respected in the field.

I wondering what people may have to say about the different online programs available for dog training.
