5 diplomas and I'm Happy
February 13, 2010
I have followed this school through years of changes. It was International Correspondence Schools when I finished my High school education through them. They became Thompson Learning direct, harcort, learning direct, now Penn Foster. They could improve their customer service, they need to update some of their course material, but overall I was happy. I did try the pay as you go and they moved much slower than I did, I paid for the whole ...

As i started into this course it soon became obvious that this propgram was outdated, with no support whatsoever from actual class nor educational staff, it took 3 weeks to actually get a student id code to be able to log in ! So, i decided to cancell....Wow, that's when the real nightmare began. I only signed up for ONE semester for $760, but few months later after informing them of my cancellation they hunt me ...

excellent veterinary assistant program
November 8, 2009
this is an incredible veterinary assistant program through Penn Foster Career School, and am almost finished with it. I use many techniques learned through this school at a kennel (where I volunteer) , and have helped the animals greatly. They send DVDs on nursing care, restraint of small & large animals, radiology & surgical assisting, etc. THE materials sent are worth it & study 28 paperback / study guides. They cover most what a veterinary ...

Penn Foster is a rip off and a scam. First off, the academic advisers from the school told me that the school was totally accredited and that it was the same as attending a university for your veterinary technician license. After being satisfied with the information I was hearing, I signed up for schooling. A month later I was deployed with the Army. When I got back from deployment, I received all these letters from Penn Foster and a collection agency telling me I owe them about $3000. After arguing with the school and the credit agency, they basically told me 'You were deployed? Oh well, you still owe us $3000'. I have nothing good to say about this school, which includes the online courses I took for the month I attended this degree program. If you want a half ass degree just to get by in the veterinary field, as well as any other field, I recommend this program. I personally would recommend spending a few more dollars and attending a REAL school. Hope this helps in your decision whether or not to attend Penn Foster.

This school is a rip off. They dont care who you are you are just your number. The shippments are slow the customer service doesnt exsist...in fact it is so bad that the last time I called I broke down crying when they told me my paperwork had been sent to someone elses house, this is after four months of back and forth fighting with them to get them to approve my practicum. The instructors are RUDE, and DEFFINITLY not helpful, in fact they act as if they want to kill themselves while you are talking to them! I have never even gotten a helful call back when I call for help on my homework. WHAT A WAISTE OF TWO YEARS OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
