This 29-credit certificate program builds upon the original Turfgrass Management certificate. It is designed for current or potential turfgrass management professionals seeking a comprehensive course of study that complies with the Professional Development Initiative of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). The program consists of the 20 core credits offered in the basic Turfgrass Management Certificate program, covering pesticides, weed control, morphology, entomology, pathology, edaphology, cultural systems, and case studies in turf management. These required courses are supplemented by 9 additional credits selected from a variety of areas to enhance students' skills in related fields like business management, speech communications, and organic chemistry.
