I think that this is obviously an entirely subjective experience as I have read both good and bad about the program and also being at the tail end of it myself. My experience in the program has been wonderful, to say the least. It has been challenging and the professionals I learn from come from all around the country who have been in the teaching field for years hailing from both traditional and non-traditional, accredited universities, etc.

Perhaps the campus I attend is well-maintained in most aspects. I have never ever had trouble contacting an advisor. If my advisor was away, I could always call in and speak to another available advisor to get my problems solved. Although there was one technical malfunction on their end that, in hindsight, could have caused a lot of major problems, they attended to the matter once it was made apparent with surprising haste; both my advisor, another advisor I do not work with and the program director himself.

There are some minor complaints and concerns I might express here but they are not devastating enough to make light of. Just be sure to do a lot of research before jumping into whatever program, at ANY school--not just UoP. Be sure you are taking and keeping on top of your responsibilities and do not assume that the entire institution, although harshly judged in recent past and on other occasions, in every location, is dysfunctional.

Go somewhere else! As a graduate student, I expected to have intructors with advanced graduate degrees. Instead I got instructors who had Masters Degrees from...you guessed it, UoP. I would turn in a 1300 word paper, and have it returned to me the next day with an A. I know for a fact that it was not truly graded, if even read.
Now I am in debt 10000 for nothing!

The financial advisors are impossible to contact. In fact, some are completely rude.

My advisor was switched 4 times in 3 months. I finally left UoP to go to another online school. My new school is amazing and a completely different experience. I feel like I am truly learning!!!
