I'm ready to jump in to a MA in Security Management..I am an ex Army Reservist from Canada....I have a BA in Political Science and History....can't seem to find a MA program.. that offers what I'm looking for like... AMU...I have a strong interest in Customs and Immigration and Public Safety...and Terrorism Studies...and things of that sort...So being a Canadian fella...:) should I worry about being a student at AMU...and is the demand for this(Security Management) recognized in Canada? I mean.... this stuff is really relevant given the current global situation..(AMU has indicated they have students from all over the globe) They sound good to me!!! .....Ubique

I love AMU. I completed a BA in Middle Eastern Studies there back in 2011. I am sure that its security program is competitive and marketable for its graduates. At the same time, there are a couple of alternatives to this particular institution. One of the better graduate safety management/homeland security programs is offered completely online by EKU (Eastern Kentucky University). I recently spoke to their rep, and (knowing that his job is to sell the program) I was still convinced that EKU's academics in this particular area are stellar. Explore your options, see what is out there, and become competitive by earning a degree that you think is more valuable to you and to your future employers. I would not discard AMU, but I would not enroll there unless I am convinced that the program is right for me.
