Ministry leaders must cast a compelling vision, mobilize and manage volunteers and staff, balance faith perspectives with “bottom-line” financial decisions, and solve daily interpersonal and organizational problems. Furthermore, they must care for self, family and constituents and strategically stay abreast of perplexing religious, spiritual, societal and global trends. With little fresh input from ministry peers and mentors, the intensity of ministry can result in emotional and spiritual dullness. Can leaders in ministry afford to continue to experience the sense of waning in confidence, competence and credibility?
