Description
The Computer Technology program is designed to provide information and training on the use, application and technological developments of computers in a changing electronic environment. Coursework is aimed primarily at students interested in developing skills in the business or personal computing environment. Specifically, the basic courses provide instruction in areas which include: 1) computer applications in the business environment and current trends and developments in computers; 2) graphical applications; 3) electronic spreadsheets; 4) database; 5) word processing; 6) computer operating systems. Subsequent course work provides the student with an opportunity to specialize in: 1) office user specialist preparation skills; 2) systems professional; 3)systems engineer; 4) solutions developer; 5) Novell engineer; 6) local area networking; 7) computer web development; 8) business office technology; 9) desktop publishing; 10) troubleshooting and helpdesk support; or 11) programming. Course requirements also include general mathematics and English skills.

Overall this degree has been a good experience for me and I feel confident in getting a job related to what I have learned. Also, rio offers general education blocks of 30 credits that get you into Universities.

I am almost through getting this degree and it has been very educational. Also, I am going to go for a AGEC-S in CIS so I can get into the business school at ASU.
