Description

The advanced program allows students to pursue extended studies in areas that command a great deal of interest in the contemporary technical workplace. The sequence of required courses introduces students to writing documentation for software products, creating multimedia presentations, and developing and editing articles and reports for the scientific trade, and commercial press.The courses in this program are open to all students at any time, but a student may not be awarded an advanced certificate until after they have earned a basic certificate in technical communication.Individual courses and/or the certificates may be applied to degree programs such as the BS in applied arts and science. Students must achieve a program GPA of at least 2.0 in order to be certified.
