Long-Term Care Administration Major
Level: Bachelor
Language: English
Category:
Gerontology
Health Administration
Description
This major provides students with professional education in the field of long-term care administration. Building on a solid general education foundation, it provides courses in general management, health care administration, and long-term care administration to prepare students for positions throughout long-term care. The major also allows students to select a specialty track from among three prominent segments of the long term care industry -- nursing homes, assisted living, and home care -- preparing them for employment, promotion, or licensure within those areas. Since these three specialty areas have differing requirements for hands-on experiential learning, the major provides students with several practicum (internship) options.

Hi, I was wondering if the Long Term Care Administration program is approved by the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Long-Term Care Administrators.
