Review:
I'm in the seminary program and started the Master of Ministry with hopes of earning my Doctorate down the road. I started with the course Spirit Quest the suggested required one they offer that takes around eight months. Both were inexpensive the program is generally run not to make a huge profit with the instructors getting an honorarium of sorts so is not like most other seminaries. So a course will run somewhere between $60-80 each and are 3-5 credits. A Masters takes 40 credits and the Doctor of Ministry 60 credits. So you are looking at around 15 courses for the doctorate. But where else can you take courses in Wicca, Druidism and many interesting spiritual paths including Christianity. Now the program is done mainly by e-mail and the message boards of the seminary provide an outlet for class debates and talk about religious matters. But is fairly low tech that is not that bad but is not on-par with established seminary programs. But good enough for the exceptional value. They DO NOT take transfer or life experience credit but the program is meant to be a serious program if unorthodox. A final essay for each course is required and there is no large research paper required for either degree. But its not an academic program so much as a spiritual one to train ministers for many paths of spiritual growth and service. But if you want a good Ministry degree that is eclectic, inexpensive and completely above board this is far from a bad option.
