Description

Post-baccalaureate offering of the College of Nursing which leads to the Type 73 Certification of the State of Illinois. The College of Nursing courses culminate a 30 semester hour-program that includes courses in educational psychology, educational foundations, the exceptional child, sociology, and human growth and development. Building on a nursing foundation of public health nursing theory and practice and community health problems, the students take two courses specific to nursing in schools: NUPH 402, School Nursing - Principles and Trends, and NUPH 420, Clinical Methods for School Nursing.
