I majored in Business Administration with a minor in political science. After earning my BA from UMUC I applied to various law schools around the country and got in with scholarship offers. I can assure anyone out there considering an online education that UMUC is one of, if not the best. In addition, I would recommend the school to anyone who wants to earn a bachelors in business regardless if they work full-time or not. ...

As far as a university for working adults goes this is an excellent school. Let’s face it UMUC is not a top tier school. You’re not going to attend it because you chose it over the Georgetown or Duke. You are 30 years old or so now and regret not finishing college when you had the chance. You have a career now and can’t just give it up to go back to the UMD College ...

I enjoyed my experience with UMUC. I took 75% of my courses via DE. I took all of my UMUC courses while stationed in Europe. The courses were tough but very useful in my professional development. The online format was very user friendly and the library databases were enormous. They offered a wealth of information and knowledge. OK for a degree. Very good for an online degree. School showed changes for the worse during my last year or so, they are now attempting to teach a "semester's" worth in 8 weeks. That allows the school to sell more classes in a given year, but is too accelerated a pace for quality learning. When that system was initiated, the course load remained unchanged from the 12 week system, causing certain overload. Hopefully, the workload will reduce as the school gains experience with the revised system.

I am a current UMUC student. I have been completing classes for over a year now. I love the format and the 8 week course plan. I actually, for the first time in my life can see myself having a college degree.

This a great school if you consider all the 11 universities in the Maryland University System. They got good curricullum and great teachers. Like any other school it depends on the seriousness of a student. As an adult student who is been challenged at work, you have a second chance to make up your career. The school offers face-toface and online under grad degrees. The choice is yours. What I learned from this university is the same knowledge I see other cowrkers from other colleges applying in the their daily work. So there is serious learning here do not feel like it is a lesser degree compared to other universities.

UMUC is a great school for working adults and serious students. I have been attending the school for over a year now and the courses help me develop my professional career.
