Description
The MSIT program seeks to provide students with a technical curriculum that covers a wide range of information technology (IT) topics. It is designed for those who are called upon to develop, implement, and operate information systems in a variety of organizations. Graduates of the MSIT program will have a broad technical understanding of current and emerging technologies in the IT field, a familiarity with systems engineering concepts, and a solid foundation in the technological basis of the Internet. They will also have a greater grasp of current and future effects of the convergence of computer systems and telecommunications systems technologies.In order to ensure that students gain the maximum benefit from such a curriculum, UMUC's Graduate School will require applicants to the MSIT program to have both an academic background in one of the engineering, physical science, computer science, or mathematical disciplines as well as substantive practical experience in IT.

Many professors also taught at other major Universities to include Harvard, and all had a doctorate in their field. I was impressed by the knowledge of the professors and the text books selected and aditional reading. I didn't have very many professors that cut corners with requirements, and the IT finance was super challenging, but after some MBA courses after my IT Masters, I appreciate it.
