The UMUC Global Master of Business Administration (GMBA) emphasizes business strategy and strategy implementation in the context of the globalizing business environment. The program is designed for managers and other professionals whose careers and management responsibilities engage them in transnational and global operations. In addition to developing international management skills in strategic management, intercultural communication, finance, economics, and trade, students gain competencies in designing and managing information systems, global supply chains, and cost-effective sourcing networks for global enterprises. Moreover, they gain experience in conducting negotiations and structuring operations through courses that imbed project-oriented study trips to two different major commercial countries/regions. In the capstone course, the insights from these projects and other coursework are integrated through a strategic business plan that embraces operations spanning multicountry operations within or across regions of the world.
