A follow up question; The fees to transfer credit in, is that cover by FA or is that out of pocket? Thanks again

I spoke to a few people at UMass online and got coflicting answers. They said that the classes are 8 weeks and are on the quater system. When reading the site it says something about a fee per semester, which is it? Also they said that when you earn the BA in criminal justice that it say Uninersity without walls on the degree, is that true? That is basically saying it was earned online. Any info or help would be great, thanks!

I am pursuing the BS in Information Technology. I love the diversity of classes I can take here. The lessons are full with informative material and the instructors are helpful. Grade is based homework assignments which are intense for the most part but not impossible to complete. I have spent hours researching online education and so far this is the best of the best. Affordability is a key factor. As long as it is affordable UMASS is your best bet. I give them a 5.

Umass is comparitively new to the Online learning world. Students are from limited geographic area; Primarily Boston. Limited perspectives take away from the learning experience. Unfortunately, there is not much diversity in the classroom. Tuition is reasonable and covered by financial aid. However, state mandated fees are off the charts expensive and not covered by FA. Much younger students with less business savvy than many online programs

Hello,

I would like to ask some current students who take the courses online how do you get the books and materiel's (e.g. are they sent to you via postage overnight?) Also, if there is a delay in receiving the books (e.g. 7-10 days) then when does your start date begin since there is a delay in receiving the materiel's. How does the college handle this or how does it work?

All comments are welcomed!

Thanks
