Description
This online program is designed to build or enhance professional knowledge, skills and leadership in journalism and mass communications. The interdisciplinary curriculum combines up-to-date knowledge with practical application and individualized experience. Masters degree students are expected to select advertising, broadcasting or news-editorial as an area of emphasis. Student theses and projects are completed under the guidance of faculty in that area of emphasis. All students enrolled in the distance graduate journalism classes are required to have high-speed Internet capability with access to email. Classes are interactive and taught in real time, generally meeting one night a week (Central Time Zone) through desktop video conferencing.
