The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), Teachers College, Dept of Educational Administration and the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education offer Distributed Graduate Degrees (Masters and Doctoral) in Educational Leadership and Higher Educatwion. The Distributed Graduate Degrees offer participants an affordable, high quality education, freed from the constraints of time and location. Students can participate from any where and at any time from any place in the world. Course work required is provided on-line using UNL Lotus Course System which provides asynchronous and collaborative learning experiences for participants. In-depth learning, practicum, and scholarly experiences prepare participants for leaderhip positions in postsecondary and higher education institutions, or with other educational agencies. The system features the following: Extensive and substantive interaction among participants and faculty Collaborative-Active Learning in Virtual groups Reflective Practice Approach Scholar-Practitioner Model The Faculty member's role as a Facilitator The following areas of emphasis are offered: Academic Leadership Business and Finance administration Student Affairs admininstration College Teaching and Learning Community College Distance Education The fully accredited program created in 1992 has been designed to accommodate the needs of practicing educational leaders by eliminating the constraints of time and location in the educational process.
