Perfect for Full-Time Workers I work full-time as an RN; I also have a disabled husband. Believe me, University of Phoenix is perfect for busy adults in the real world. There are at least two weekly discussion questions that require references. There is a minimum of four days class participation per week. Students are also required to submit either a paper or PowerPoint every week. If you don't like to write, don't go to school through UOP. I have gained so much insight through researching for my discussion questions and writing papers. Everything I've learned so far has been applicable to my current job. If anyone says that the A's are handed out, they should think again. I have received many awards for writing throughout high school and college, and I've had to work extremely hard in some of my classes to get A's. UOP has been challenging but rewarding. The only thing I have a problem with is graduation. They don't recognize their graduates that graduate with GPA's of 3.5 or above. UOP recognizes a GPA of 3.85 (Summa Cum Laude by other college standards, but they only place it on your diploma. There is no mention of it during the graduation ceremony. I found that disheartening, as I have worked to keep a high GPA. recognition is important at any college.
