Description
The Certificate Program in Project Management provides a comprehensive examination of project management processes, integrating technical tools with leadership and team communications skills. You can choose a classroom or distance learning format. The distance learning format consists of five modules covering the same content as the courses in the classroom format. There are a total of six campus meetings in the distance learning format.The program has been designed by an advisory board of UW faculty and project management professionals in the Puget Sound region, in collaboration with the local chapter of the Project Management Institute.Program Benefits Network with other project management professionals. Make contacts you'll value throughout your career. Benefit from the experience and insights of course instructors who have teaching experience and extensive expertise in the project management field. Practical courses. Case studies, group projects and discussion of real-work situations make the program relevant in today's business environment. Provides information about the PMP (Project Management Professionals) certification examination. Approved by the UW College of Architecture and Urban Planning, the UW Business School, and UW Bothell and UW Tacoma. The UW's industry-recognized certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the program. Participants in this noncredit program earn 13.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) upon successful completion of the program (13 CEUs in the distance learning format). All participants have access to resources of the University of Washington libraries while enrolled in the program.
