Review:
I had about 3 years of Penn State credits from back in the early 80's. Being in my mid 40's with a family of 4 to support, I felt I needed to enhance my resume with a 4 year degree. The amount of tution wanted by other online degee providers were unaffordable. I ended up taking 27 credits to finish ny degree. The courses were just as tough, if not tougher than the ones I had at Penn State. I was able to speak with PHD's when I needed help. The Blackboard technology was easy to work with. I don't understand all the complaints. You get out what you put into it. One of my friends is a top level manager at a global company. I asked him if he was looking at my resume and I listed an online degree, would that be a roadblock? He said no and that work experience plays a larger role in hiring. Having a 4 year degree however, separates me from other job seekers with less education. I recently started a new higher paying job in December 2008.
