It's not a skate

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, myself. I've not had an issue with Taskstream... they send things back within a few days, including on weekends. My mentor is sort of... *meh*... but I don't really need a cheerleader. Some of the lecture material is better than others (I'm a fan of thinkwell, myself)... but as far as a good use of my time, this is excellent. I'm not sitting in a class while other ...

will recomend only for self regulated learners!

I would recomend this University only to self motivated learners. You will not get much help from the "teachers" and you will write and write and write one paper after another. However, it is duable if you have the time to study and are dedicated. I was told that my degree will take me 2 years, and now am going on year 3, taking over 14 semester hours each time. Did not like my first ...

I was enrolled for the Master of Arts in Mathematics Education, K-6, which is not needed to teach it as a departmental subject in most states in the U.S. However, I was seeking this course for renewal credits, and great, if it could be put into a degree. I am volunteering and thought this would fit in my schedule without a hitch. When I received my first "rewrite" from Task Stream" with comments referring to "too much general information" and stating that I needed to direct the lesson plans to one concept only, I took immediate issue with the total plan and information recording format of this write-in testing format called the Portfolio Response. After reading other reviews about this school, and a researched evaluation of on-line campuses in the union, WGU ranked 50 out of 65. This scared me. When I went on to read about the "diploma mill" schools that are primarily just granting paper for the money and not giving decent skills for hiring, I quickly proceeded to withdraw. The third element leading me to question WGU's validity, was the week-late delivery of the "Math, Yes" CD and DVD "text books" for my first course. Between the TaskStream incompetence and the delayed beginning, I could not reach my goals. Again, you get what you pay for, even in education.
