Description
Description of Program: The AS in business program is designed for students who have work experience with a wide variety of responsibilities (customer service, accounting, production, logistics, etc.) in a wide variety of contexts. It is ideal for adult learners who are prepared to move from entry-level/front-line positions into supervisory positions in business, industry, commerce, or government or for place-bound students who are comfortable with distance-delivered education. This program is ideal for individuals who are self-disciplined and work well at their own pace. Candidates should have some post-high school training or coursework and be comfortable with competency assessments, a key part of Western Governors University's (WGU) programs. To obtain an Associate of Science in Business, WGU students are required to demonstrate competence in quantitative literacy skills, language and communication skills, collegiate reasoning skills, associate-level business core, and the general education distribution which includes social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities.
