California State University-East Bay, Hayward Reviews:

Highly interactive program
November 9, 2006
As another reviewer stated, this is not a techie program. It's highly academic and focused on constructivism and educational pedagogy for online teaching and learning -- and the program practices what it is teaching. The classes are highly interactive and collaborative among students -- it's amazing what can be done via an asynchronous course management system. The curriculum is more suitable for classroom teachers and college faculty than for corporate trainers and instructional designers, although ...

Great Program
August 24, 2006
This was a great program. I learned a lot about teaching, learning, distance learning and instructional design. This is not a techie degree -- this degree will give you principles that you can apply to teaching and learning with technology and online. Dont go to the university if you dont wanna get parking tickets. Because the cops are hella gay. They will give u ticket even if ur meter is only one minute over. they will even count the minutes on minute parking zone. they are straight faggots. And they are not gona listen to u whatever u will give them the reason. So if you go over there then be careful from those gays. thanx

I graduated from the program a few years ago and I highly recommend it. It could be intense and challenging, but you learn a lot from the content and online interactions. I've taken many online classes at different universities but never really felt connected to my online class. At CSUH they understood how important it was to build an online community and they didn't have to resort to using a cohort system.

I wish they offered an online Ed.D. program, I'd be the first to sign up.
