Eastern University

I took the BA in MIS in person and got excellent grades. That being stated, my opinion is that the school sucks and the program sucks. 

The most pathetic thing is that the director of the MIS program (not sure if she’s still in that position) had no degree in MIS/IT/CS or business. She had degrees in education. On top of that, it seemed like the last time she did any significant IT-related work was back in the mainframe days. Another thing, most of the instructors I had did not have terminal degrees (PhD, JD, etc). Most only had master’s degrees. The one instructor (he was actually one of the more pragmatic ones) got his MBA from Eastern.

Overall, if you like learning on your own, you will find many of the books interesting. But MOST of the instructors are totally worthless and will add nothing to your knowledge. And most of the course syllabi are not well written. They make this program out like it’s the freakin' Harvard MBA or something. I think the course writers read too many business magazines and jumped on the band wagon with all the absurd ideas for projects.
