Gonzaga University Reviews:

Outstanding program
February 28, 2012
The staff of this program are nothing less than phenomenal. I actually got overwhelmed while doubling up courses last Fall session, and had resigned myself to failing and retaking those two courses. Upon explaining this to the professors, they both encouraged me to take Incompletes and have been incredibly supportive of my getting through catching them up (even while doubled up THIS session). It goes beyond just these two incidents of helping me redeem myself ...

Excellent experience

This is an excellent program with caring, involved faculty and a laser-focus on the individual. The campus-based portions of the program are critical to the student's involvment - get there sooner rather than put it off to the end. Challenging curriculum that forces you to think big and be practical at the same time. I have felt myself grow in exciting new ways as part of this program. It's a good value, too.

Excellent and Relevant

I began the COML program in Fall 2006 and from the day that I requested information online, the service and attention has been absolutely stellar. There is a chance that you could feel disconnected from an institution because of the nature of distance learning, but with the one-on-one contact from advisors and counselors and the open-communication policy with teachers GU offers a sense of connectedness. We use Blackboard for classes and nearly everything you need ...

Organizational Leadership

Top online program that exceeded my expectations by delivering a solid curriculum through outstanding professors.

Pretty much finished with the first course. The reading workload was rigorous, as promised. I have to say I wish the grading standard was a little tougher. I know this was just one course, but at first blush, it looks like this program is very achievable without herculean effort.

Just started the MORGL program. I have to say that the advisors were absolutely phenomenal. There is alot of reading and writing. I can tell from the outset that this won't be a murderous program if I stay committed, but it is rigorous.

COML was well worth the money and time. I suggest this program to anyone who is thinking about this program.

It amazes me that this is a highly respected University and there is so little discussion about it here. On the other hand, maybe it's a good thing that Gonzaga Online flies under the radar.

About halfway through, now. They have a portfolio option in lieu of a thesis, and the Organizational Leadership side strongly recommends that route (the ComL side recommends the thesis).

Rigor of the reading requirements has not let up. If you are not the type who can speed-read or scan literature with a high comprehension rate, this may not be the program for you. If you are not comfortable with writing papers that are academic and insightful, this may not be the program for you.

I recommend this program to anyone who will listen. It is truly transformational. Do be sure you're ready to be self-directed, and you are able to read and write as described above before you commit yourself to this program.

The COML program was truly outstanding. I learned a great deal about organizational theory, leadership and Communication. The professors are top notch and provide much individual attention. The on campus portion is well thought out and brings the material to life. I found the reading to be interesting and was engaged throughout. I highly recommend pursuing the written thesis if you're seeking a deeper experience through this program.
